The trucking industry is changing almost as fast as it is growing. 70% of freight is transported by trucks and that number is growing, year over year, in an industry known for heavy emissions. Trucking is shifting toward the use of commercial electric vehicles (EVs), and there is a growing and significant demand for publicly accessible EV charging infrastructure to meet the new vehicles on the road. As a $675 million joint venture between Daimler Truck North America LLC, NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, and BlackRock (through a fund managed by its Climate Infrastructure business), Greenlane was founded to meet the moment, building a nationwide network of public high-speed battery-electric fleet charging and hydrogen refueling stations to support fleets as they continue to electrify. We believe sustainability doesn’t have to come with compromise, and we’re building a seamless pathway for the needs of a changing industry.
